I spent more than 20 years practicing intellectual property and entertainment law in big law firms and corporate America. For much of my career I had a nagging feeling that there had to be more to life than this, but I couldn’t figure out what “this” was so I kept doing what I was doing. I changed my practice areas over time and still found myself unfulfilled. Meanwhile my company began going through a series of seemingly endless mergers, restructurings and layoffs. I found myself hoping to be laid off and had fantasies of quitting my job. I spent years looking at job listings, but rarely saw anything that felt right to me. I realize now that I was in a fog for years and when I took the time to get clarity, REAL clarity, the answer was right in front of me. I could use my experience to help others fight the burnout, get that well-deserved promotion, and lead with confidence.
My Story
My Background
I earned my Bachelor’s Degree from Rochester Institute of Technology and my law degree from Emory University. I am certified as an executive coach and career coach by the Center for Executive Coaching. I am also a member of the International Coaching Federation.
For nearly 30 years I’ve made the Atlanta area my home. I’m a single mother by choice to a teen daughter and two very needy dogs. When I’m not shuttling my daughter to or from volleyball games and practices, I enjoy volunteering with the Girl Scouts of Greater Atlanta.
